At the press conference of Big Bang's Alive Galaxy Tour "The Final" Concert, G-Dragon shared his opinion on the Korean music market:

"Lately, I've been feeling that Korean music is becoming confined to one genre. I personally tried to produce music with less of what the public wanted in mind. Instead of Korean music, which has a fast turnover rate, I tend to listen to songs distinctive to different genres over a long period of time.

I hope that we go back to the times where music was produced for the intention of creating memories. In America, it takes sometimes a month up to six months for there to be any type of response after an album's initial release."
