Japanese singer May J, who will be featuring in Seungri's upcoming Japanesesolo album for the song "I Know" (originally sang with IU), talked about working with Big Bang's youngest member in an interview.
May J shared, "I went to Korea and actually met VI-san for the first time for this recording. He gave me directions all the time while recording like how he wants the song to be and he had a clear image for it. While receiving requests from him like “I want you to sing more sweetly”, I did my best to sing the song. Sometimes there was humor, so I always laughed during recording and was able to sing without getting nervous."
She added, "While recording with VI-san, he firmly held on to his own thoughts and honestly faced the music, so I really felt that he's a respectable artist. Furthermore, VI-san did a lot of research about Japan and his Japanese is really good, so I thought he is a hard worker himself. We made a promise to sing together in the future live, so I am really looking forward to sing "I Know" on stage together someday!"

Following JYP Entertainment Park Jinyoung's rice analogy on "K-POP Star Season 1", YG Entertainment producer Yang Hyunsuk came up with one of his own, comparing contestants to various dishes. What kind of food then, would he compare G-Dragon - the leader of YG's signature idol group - to?

G-Dragon is all set for his solo comeback and he has enlisted help from fellow Big Bang member Taeyang.
For G-Dragon's upcoming comeback stage on SBS Inkigayo this September 16, Taeyang has agreed to make an appearance in support of his friend. Taeyang is also featured in the music video of the song.

G-Dragon will be performing 2 songs during his comeback stage-- his title song Crayon and One of A Kind. Initially, SBS requested YG Entertainment to have G-Dragon perform 3 songs, but to raise the bar for his comeback, G-Dragon decided to perform just two.

G-Dragon's mini album drops on September 15.

Today, during the wrap up party, the staff said they had fun working with Seung chan. And they also said thank you to me.. Those words really made me happy compared to any other words..

G-Dragon is a singer, producer, leader of BIGBANG and an undisputed fashionista. In his 6 years after debuting, he has carried a lot of hairstyles and presented different kinds of fashion. Which of the hairstyles he had is he most attached to?

Group Big Bang has dominated online, album, and music video market without any TV promotions, adding some momentum to the question that has surfaced the first half of the year on whether TV promotions are necessary for success.

Back in April, Busker Busker had a mega hit without any appearances on the network music programs and IU has also had success on the online charts in May with her ‘End of the Day’ off her fan service CD single ‘Spring of a Twenty Year Old’, thus as a result, the relationship between TV promotions and hit songs started to shift. Now Big Bang has garnered much attention not only in Korea but worldwide without any TV appearances at all, adding momentum to the theory that after all, TV promotion may not be a must as it has been in the past.

After placing high on US’s Billboard charts, Big Bang shows it’s still reaching greater heights.

As of June 9, Big Bang’s Monster music video sits at the top of China’s biggest music video site, Yin Yue Tai (www.yinyuetai.com).

This week for videos just fucking absolutely ruled, so before we get into what made this list, let’s take a moment for all the videos that missed the cut. Among the casualties: Two eye-grabbing clips for A-list indie anthems, a mind-warping and visually sumptuous CocoRosie clip, a great bare-bones performance video, a legitimately funny minute-long sketch, a fun-to-watch fantasy/empowerment thing, a typically-engrossing ASAP Rocky video, a visually gorgeous and kinda-racist treatment of a massive pop-star duet, and a Willie Nelson video that treats its father/son relationship so simply and tenderly that I found myself moved watching it. Now here’s what did make it.
